🌿 2nd Grade Field Trip to Merry Lea 🌿

Hello Everyone!
On September 24th, 2nd grade will be taking a field trip to Merry Lea! We are so excited for our students to have this opportunity to explore and learn outside of the classroom.
🚌 Field Trip Schedule
- 9:15 AM: Leave Washington STEM
- 10:00 AM: Arrive at Merry Lea
- 1:45 PM: Leave Merry Lea
- 2:30 PM: Arrive back at Washington STEM
👨👩👧 Chaperones
If you plan to chaperone, you will need to meet us at Merry Lea, as bus seating is limited.All students must ride the bus to the field trip due to liability purposes. Students may, however, ride home with their parent/guardian after the field trip. If you choose to take your child home, you will need to sign them out using the sign-out sheet.
If you are chaperoning, please remember that you will be expected to chaperone a group of students, including your own child.
A background check must be on file in order to chaperone.
💰 Field Trip Payment
Permission slips will be sent home today or tomorrow. The permission slip will include several payment options and they are due on September 9th!One option is through ParentSquare, which is the easiest option because you can pay directly from your phone. You may also pay by cash or check made payable to Washington STEM.
📱 A Quick Reminder
Please refrain from allowing your child—or any other students—to use your cell phone during the field trip. We want our students to stay engaged in the experience and enjoy all that Merry Lea has to offer!👟 What to Wear
Please have your child:- Wear tennis shoes
- Dress in layers
- Come prepared to spend time outdoors
